Fernie Distillers is proud to launch McLaughlin Six Whisky.
Infamous rum runner Emilio Picariello had the fastest car of the time to outrun the RCMP. The Master Six by the McLaughlin Motor Car Company became known as the “Whisky Six”. It takes 6 mashes and many hands to fill a barrel, 3 years to age but, no fast car needed to be a Canadian whisky.
On October 21st, 2023, Fernie Distillers barreled its first whisky.
The Founder’s Barrel is aging in new American oak with Char #4.
Fernie Distillers will only be pre-selling 108 bottles. A certificate will be mailed to the purchaser, a record kept on file at the Distillery and will be redeemable in December 2026. Additional shipping charges will apply if not picked up in person.
